A prayer to disciple

Jesus. You made the principle of being your disciple so simple. But walking in your footsteps can be so incredibly hard. Please help me to rely on your spirit to guide my thoughts, words and actions. Make me an ambassador of your love. Amen.

A prayer of praise

God, thank You for being unstoppable, unchangeable, all-powerful, and incomparable. You alone are worthy of all my praise, honor, and glory! Your love endures forever, and I am forever grateful for who You are. Thank You for making a way for me to know You personally. Nothing compares to You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer to love others

God, sometimes it’s hard to love others. But even when people are unkind, I want to choose to love them because You love them. Encourage me to love others even when it’s challenging, and give me opportunities each day to go out of my way to show Your love to everyone I encounter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A prayer for healing hope

God, thank You for being the God who restores and brings peace. You are steady. You are good. I ask for Your strength to love and serve those around me. Help me share the healing and hope I have in You with others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A prayer to serve others

God, thank You for loving and serving Your people. Because I want to live a life that honors You, please give me the same attitude of mind as You, help me to love and serve others. Give me opportunities each day to express Your love to others. Help me go out of my way to serve those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A prayer for grace

God, I sometimes struggle to give myself grace. It can be hard to forgive myself for things that I’ve done, but I know that You’ve forgiven me. And because You have forgiven me, I can forgive myself. Thank You for sending Your son, Jesus, to save me from my sins. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Thank You for Your grace and mercy

God, I am so grateful that You know everything I’m going through. Your name is a strong tower. You alone are my source of strength. I am calling on Your name. Thank You that with You, I am safe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer to obey You

God, obedience is a way I can show my faith in You. Teach me how to be more obedient. Fill my heart with the perfect love You’ve shown me. Teach me what it looks like to offer every part of myself—heart, soul, and strength—to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer to be selfless

God, thank You for being a good Father to me. Today, please show me how to honor You by honoring the people You’ve placed in my life. Show me how to selflessly serve others, and give me opportunities to encourage both the parents and kids You’ve placed in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A prayer to be a light

Jesus, thank You for being the light of the world, and for giving us hope for an eternal relationship and life with You. Thank You for allowing me to represent You on earth, and for giving me the Holy Spirit to help me live a life that honors You. Each day, help me be a light in the darkness and draw others closer to You. Amen.

Prayer to show love

God, I thank you for the amazing love that You have shown me. I pray that I can love others in my life in that same way. Please help me by Your Spirit to prioritize people in my life, serve those who are in need, and share the love of Jesus with those who haven't heard. In Jesus' name, Amen

Prayer to live in peace

God, please help me to live at peace with others. Even when people hurt, hated, and mocked You—You still showed them love and mercy. And You invite me to experience and share Your perfect peace. So please transform the ways I think and act. Make me eager to spread peace instead of fear, and love instead of hate. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for hope

God, I place my hope in You. Every word from You proves true. Your Word shows that You’ll never leave me, You’ll fight for me, and You’ll protect me. So when I’m afraid or overwhelmed, I will not lose heart. I will remember Your promises and run to You. You are my refuge and strength—the One in whom I trust. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank You for leading me

God, thank You that You are the same God that led the Israelites. You are with me! You never forsake me. I can face any challenge without fear. I submit my life to Your will. I know You will lead me where you want me to go. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer to trust God

Father God, You met my greatest need when You sent Your Son to rescue me from eternal separation from You. Thank You! I never want to take Your kindness for granted. So today, please teach me to come honestly before You and to trust You with what I need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer to be generous

Father, You have been so generous to me. Please help me have the same willingness to be generous. Let my generosity bless others as You have blessed me.

Prayer for courage

Jesus, thank You that You are with me wherever I go! Whatever storm I face, You are with me. I am not afraid. I can face every storm with peace and confidence because of the simple fact that You care about me. Thank You. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Thank You for protecting me

God, thank You for using me despite my weaknesses. I often find it difficult to be joyful when life brings pain and hardship. Give me eyes to see You at work, even when I am anxious. I want to fully rely on You. Help me lean into Your strength. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Prayer to be helpful

Jesus, You have shown me what true humility looks like by giving up Your life for my sake. Today, as I interact with other people, help me to consider others before myself. And help me to do this not from a place of insecurity—but because I know who I am and I love who You are. Amen.

Prayer for guidance

God, thank You for loving me. Please shape my heart. Teach me how to act in a way that honors You. Remove any patterns of behavior in my life that displease You, and replace them with characteristics that reflect You and Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Jesus, You show me what true humility looks like. You gave up everything to serve and save us. It’s Your humble sacrifice that paved a way for me to experience fresh life. Thank You! Today, please replace pride with humility, and selfishness with selflessness. Change the way I think and act, and teach me to put others first in a healthy way that honors You. Amen.

Prayer for unity

God, You alone can unite Your children. You make sinful hearts clean. You make broken families whole. You make divided nations return to You. Help me remember Your power to unite and Your will for togetherness. Mend the divisions You see in me, and mend the divisions You see in the world. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Prayer for purity

God, sometimes it’s hard to focus my mind on good things. But I know You are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy—and I am grateful I can focus my mind on You at all times. When I go through challenging situations, please remind me of Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for grace

God, when I come to You with humility, You never hold my mistakes against me. Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, all my mistakes are paid for. I never want to cheapen Your gracious gift by refusing to show mercy or kindness to others. So please remove any hurt or devision from my heart, and show me where I need to do good to others. A prayer for unity

God, You know how much division there is in this world. I pray Your Church will be an example of the unity only Your love can bring. Help me foster unity in every environment I step into, seeking to understand and keeping my focus on Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
