Lord Jesus, help us follow You to the edges of society, where people are lonely, suffering, and in great need. Let us give freely with appreciation for all You’ve given to us at no charge. In Your name, Amen.

Jesus, You showed me what love means when You sacrificed Yourself to save us. Please give me the boldness to love others like You have loved me. Make me aware of Your Holy Spirit, and show me what other people need. Allow me to meet the needs of others by loving them sacrificially. Amen.

God's peace

Thank You for Your promise of peace. I may face uncertain and frightening things in this life, but I know You are bigger than my problems. As I walk with You today, help me to remember that no matter what I encounter, You are good. You promise to always be with me and that brings me peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God, You alone are all-knowing, present, and powerful. You are the God who created the heavens and the earth, the sun and the moon, and all of creation. All people will come to know Your glory and goodness. Please help me to submit my will to Yours so that I can fulfill the purpose You have created for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A prayer for my weaknesses

God, thank You for giving me Yourself. Thank You for empowering me to face whatever comes my way. Help me to remember that even when I’m weak, You are still strong. And You can take the hardest of situations and turn it around for Your glory and my good. So please help me to glorify You with all that I am. God, it can be difficult to love those who have mistreated me, but I know You love them so I want to love them too. Encourage me to pray for those I am too hurt to be around. God, thank You for Your grace and the gift of salvation. My eternity is secure in You because of Your great love. Teach me what it means to be godly. God, I want to walk with You. Help me to crave a life that is led by You. Today, please fill me with Your Spirit’s wisdom, power, and strength. Give me the courage to be still and trust You. A prayer of surrender

Jesus, the way You loved and served others challenges everything that comes naturally to me. It’s hard to let go of my desire for fairness and love with my whole heart. And yet, this is what You call me to. This is the way You love me. Teach me, Jesus. Help me let go of whatever I may be holding against people and instead trust and love You fully. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank God

God, I believe that every good and perfect thing is from You. Thank You for not only wanting good things for me but also for loving me. I’m grateful for every blessing You’ve placed in my life, and I choose to focus my mind on these things. I love You, Lord.
